Birthday Special «15 years Observation Deck B»

From February to December 2026, you will receive free entrance to the Observation Deck B on the 15th of each month!
Experience exciting airport moments up close – and as an added highlight, flight operations will be commented on live between 11:30 and 14:30.

How does an aircraft stay in the air? Why are turbulence bumps perfectly normal? And why is flying safer today than ever before?

Children (and the grown-ups with them) can get answers to all these questions live on site from Captain Tom – a real airline pilot and fear-of-flying coach. In a playful, age-appropriate way, he explains how flying works and helps even the youngest passengers feel at ease in the air.

Tom Schneider has been flying for 25 years and is currently a Captain and Instructor on the Airbus A320 and A350. He leads fear-of-flying seminars and, with his book “Flying Made Easy for Kids,” inspires curiosity, confidence, and excitement about aviation from an early age.

On Sunday, 7 June, all men will receive free admission to the spectator terrace B on the occasion of Father's Day.

«Sauvage OFF» at Zurich Airport: 20 June 2026

In 2026, the rave event hosted by Sauvage will once again be hosted at Zurich Airport. On 20 June 2026, the party series will take over what is probably the most spectacular terrace in Zurich. The Zurich-based label, known for locations such as Halle 622, the Kunsthaus, Gessnerallee, and Werft Wollishofen, stands for events of the highest calibre.

The event is only taking place under good weather conditions. Alternative date is 4 July 2026.

Look forward to a refreshing welcome drink, a varied buffet and live beats by a DJ. Weather permitting, the brunch will take place on the Observation Deck B - with a direct view of the tarmac.

Ranger Talk

From 13:00 - 16:00, rangers will offer exciting insights into their daily work. Rangers worldwide are dedicated to preserving natural and cultural landscapes, usually working behind the scenes, but always close to people and the environment. Learn more about the diverse tasks of this profession, hear examples from different countries, and discover how nature conservation is implemented in a concrete and practical way.

The flight-crazy clown troupe Guarda will once again be landing on Observation Deck B and guarantee a colourful afternoon full of fun and joy. They have magical tricks, funny games and many other surprises in their luggage. Great fun for all ages!

On the weekend of 29 - 30 August 2026 the Federal Customs Office will be offering exciting insights into its work on the Observation Deck B. On both days, service dogs will be demonstrating their skills on site with live commentary.

Would you like to find out more about a career as a customs and border security specialist? Information events will be held on Saturday and Sunday in the visitor room.

Beaming faces and sparkling eyes: mascot Rolli Rollkoffer and his airport friends will be on the Observation Deck B from 14:00 to 16:00. Bernie & Lexi from SWISS, Giancarlo and Eli from Edelweiss and our Rolli Rollkoffer are looking forward to saying hello to lots of children and their families on Mascot Day and taking photos together.

In addition, the Guarda clown troupe will be making a short stopover on the viewing terrace from 14:30 to 16:00. These smile-inducing artists will have lots of funny ideas in their luggage.
