Opening hours Observation Deck B
Regular opening hours:
- Free entry on the 15th of the month
- Daily from 10:00 – 18:00 h
- Bistro Aviolino: Daily from 10:00 – 18:00 h
The Observation Deck B will be closed due to an event on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23, 2026. During this period, no bus tours for individuals or shuttle services to Dock E will be available. As of Thursday, August 20, there may be some restrictions due to event setup. We appreciate your understanding.

Observation Deck B, in the public area of Zurich Airport, is one of Switzerland's most popular destinations for a day out. The location offers excitement and fascination for airport fans both young and old. The observation walkway allows visitors to watch the pilots in the cockpit. Flight information pillars provide information about the various aircraft and their flight destinations. Observation Deck B also features a «mini airport», a play area for children.

From February to December 2026, you will receive free entrance to the Observation Deck B on the 15th of each month!
Experience exciting airport moments up close – and as an added highlight, flight operations will be commented on live between 11:30 and 14:30.
June to September: Extended opening hours on selected dates
Enjoy balmy summer evenings with a stunning view. The Observation Deck B is open for you on the following Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.:

22 August 2026 – Day Time Party
«Sauvage OFF» at Zurich Airport: 22 August 2026
In 2026, the rave event hosted by Sauvage will once again be hosted at Zurich Airport. On 20 June 2026, the party series will take over what is probably the most spectacular terrace in Zurich. The Zurich-based label, known for locations such as Halle 622, the Kunsthaus, Gessnerallee, and Werft Wollishofen, stands for events of the highest calibre.
The event is only taking place under good weather conditions. Alternative date is 12 September 2026.
29 & 30 August 2026 – Theme days with the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security including service dog demonstration
On the weekend of 29 - 30 August 2026 the Federal Customs Office will be offering exciting insights into its work on the Observation Deck B. On both days, service dogs will be demonstrating their skills on site with live commentary.
