Another milestone reached: 5 of 6 Circle buildings let

Summary
Three further office tenants were found over the last few weeks. Much of the office space at The Circle has already been let. The opening of the public areas is planned as of November 2020.

The office spaces at The Circle are proving very popular. Now that three more companies have decided to move to The Circle, there are just under 10,000 m2 of office space available, out of around 70,000 m2.

Unispace Global, a workplace competency company, is moving from Zurich’s city centre to The Circle. Unispace designs corporate work environments and creates innovative, future-oriented offices. At The Circle, the global company has found an ideal situation for implementing its own competency.

For Benji Tiso, Principal Unispace Switzerland, this location is very important:
“The new location at Zurich Airport “The Circle” is another key milestone for Unispace in our continuous development in the Swiss and global markets. The future-oriented concept of The Circle underscores our position as a market-shaping visionary in workplace design. The synergies arising at this new location allow us to contribute our expertise in an ideal way and to form long-term partnerships. We are confident that The Circle will continue to consolidate and showcase Unispace and Zurich Airport too in an international context.”

The new destination in Zurich impressed with the community-based approach and synergies with other tenants and usage models. The Circle was also chosen to offer employees, customers and partners a modern, future-oriented work environment at a location with the best transport links in Switzerland.

In addition to Microsoft and SAP, another globally active IT company is moving its Swiss headquarters to The Circle. The Circle will thus become a technology and innovation hotspot in Switzerland: The Circle is also very popular among biopharmaceutical companies. Alongside MSD, another pharma company has decided to move its Swiss head office to The Circle at Zurich Airport. These three new tenants account for a further 8,000 m2 of office space in total.

A large part of the office space has therefore been let. Around 10,000 m2 of office space is still available, including both small and large areas at a central location. See the following website for more information: https://www.thecircle.ch/de/bueroflaechen

Opening in stages from autumn 2020
Despite the coronavirus, The Circle is proceeding apace, and only slight delays are anticipated until completion. Several tenants have already taken over their areas, and the official opening of the public areas such as the congress centre, hotel, restaurants and shops is planned as of November 2020.

About The Circle
The Circle will become a central attraction that strengthens Zurich Airport. Once it opens, it will be possible to hold conferences with up to 2,500 guests directly at Switzerland’s largest national airport. Two Hyatt Group hotels, various brand worlds, an outpatient healthcare centre run by the University Hospital of Zurich, attractive office space, and arts, culture, restaurants and education facilities will round out the wide range at Zurich Airport. The Circle will thus enrich the whole region and beyond, both culturally and economically. The project is being built by a joint ownership company, with Flughafen Zürich AG and Swiss Life AG holding stakes of 51% and 49% respectively.
