Bruno Wickart designer furniture store opens in the Circle

Summary
The opening of a Bruno Wickart furniture showroom in the Circle further extends Zurich Airport’s wide-ranging “Home & Living” segment. The home and office interiors retailer offers premium designer furniture and home accessories over 600 square metres of floor space.

Early April saw the opening of a Bruno Wickart store showcasing stylish commercial and residential interiors in the Circle. The interiors specialist has leased around 600 square metres of floor space to retail designer furniture, including leading brands such as USM, Vitra, Occhio, De Sede and Baxter, along with high-end home accessories. Stefan Gross, Flughafen Zürich AG’s Chief Commercial Officer, is delighted to welcome the new store to the Circle: “Bruno Wickart is the perfect addition to the Circle for an all-round shopping experience. We’re excited to be adding another store in our Home & Living segment for our passengers, visitors and guests and we look forward to welcoming fans of designer furniture right into the heart of Zurich Airport.

Shopping experience over three levels
The new showroom extends across three floors. The tour begins in the spacious entrance area on the middle floor which mainly features collections from Swiss brands Vitra and USM. Going down one level, customers will find renowned design classics by De Sede, Fritz Hansen and Classicon, while the top floor focuses on coordinated interior furnishings. The Bruno Wickart team in the Circle aims to provide both inspiration and advice to help create inspiring surroundings together with specialists in architecture, lighting, multimedia or acoustic design. This three-storey emporium is open 365 days a year.

From stationery to furniture
The new Circle outlet will enable Bruno Wickart to expand its reach into the Greater Zurich region and eastern Switzerland. Owner Isidoro Celentano commented: “This exceptional location with its metropolitan flair allows us to offer our customers a unique ambience 365 days a year. As well as appreciating the closeness to the main Zurich market and its excellent transport links, our customers will delight in a superlative range of designer furniture and home accessories in symbiosis with unique lighting and architecture.” The new store at Zurich Airport creates eight jobs and trainee positions. Formerly named Büro Wickart AG, the firm originally started life as a stationery and typewriter shop back in the 1950s. Over the years it gradually evolved into a highly regarded Swiss furniture retailer before changing its name to Bruno Wickart AG in 1981.
