“Center Bar and Kitchen” – new look and new owners

Summary
Collaboration with local Zurich-based restaurateurs is being stepped up at Zurich Airport. The Zurich-based, family-run business Candrian, which offers Asian cuisine, is revealing a new look for the “Center Bar and Kitchen” following a two-month renovation.

The “Center Bar and Kitchen” in the Airside Center has been sporting a new look since the weekend. The restaurant, which seats around 220 people, has opened after a two-month renovation period. Before departure, passengers will be able to enjoy delicacies from the wider Asia region, including signature dishes such as Ahi tuna poke, Hainan chicken, Massaman beef curry and a variety of freshly prepared sushi creations. The restaurant is open 365 days a year from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. – the longest opening hours in the Airside Center – and is only accessible to passengers with a boarding pass.

The new owners invite you to relax and indulge yourself in the pleasantly stylish environment. During its two-month renovation, the “Center Bar and Kitchen” was completely refurbished, with special emphasis being placed on the use of high-quality materials. All of the furniture is hand-made. Guests can enjoy a quick coffee or aperitif at the bar with a view of the open kitchen, or place an order from the extensive à la carte menu with a view of the apron.

Stefan Gross, Chief Commercial Officer of Flughafen Zürich AG, says: “Through our collaboration with Candrian, we are delighted to be increasing the presence of local restaurateurs at Zurich Airport. The “Center Bar and Kitchen” is especially important for the ambience in the Airside Center and offers the perfect starting point for a wonderful trip.”
