Traffic figures
688’584 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in July (-78.1% vs. previous year). Local passengers decreased by -75.0% and transfer passengers decreased by -86.5%. The transfer rate, which was at 28.3% last July is at 17.5% in the month under review.

Air traffic movements
In July, air traffic movements decreased by -61.6% to 9’881 versus previous year. 

Traffic ratios
The average seat load factor saw a decrease of -21.2 percentage points to 62.3% and the average passenger per movement figure decreased to 104.8 (138.7 previous year).

Commercial Activities 
Total turnover in July was CHF 21.2m (-63.8% vs. previous year). The decrease divides into -73.8% for airside and -48.6% for landside.

Summer Holidays 2020
The summer holidays in the catchment area of Zurich Airport led again to an increase in the number of passengers this year, albeit at a comparatively low level. A new high since the beginning of the corona crisis until the end of July was recorded on Saturday, July 25: 33,769 passengers departed, transferred or arrived at Zurich Airport on that day.
