Traffic figures

450,500 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in May. The transfer rate, which was at 12.5% last May is at 18.7% in the month under review.
Compared to the corresponding month in the year 2019, passenger numbers are 83.4% lower in the reporting month.

Air traffic movements

In May, air traffic movements increased to 8,043 versus previous year. Compared to May 2019 air traffic movements decreased by 67.1%.

Traffic ratios

The average seat load factor saw an increase of 18.8 percentage points to 53.8% and the average passenger per movement figure increased to 92.6 (64.3 previous year).

Commercial Activities

Total turnover in May was CHF 20.1m.
