Traffic figures
2’148’812 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in January (+0.7% vs. previous year). Local passengers increased by 0.7% and transfer passengers increased by 0.8%. The transfer rate, which was at 31.1% last January remained unchanged in the month under review.

Air traffic movements
In January, air traffic movements decreased by -5.0% to 20’594 versus previous year. 

Traffic ratios
The average seat load factor saw an increase of 3.1 percentage points to 71.9% and the average passenger per movement figure increased to 121.4 (113.0 previous year).

Commercial Activities 
Total turnover in January was CHF 43.2m (+2.6% vs. previous year). The increase divides into +1.9% for airside and +3.6% for landside.
