Traffic figures

1,365,394 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in July (+98.3% vs. previous year). Local passengers increased by 84.0% and transfer passengers increased by 168.1%. The transfer rate, which was at 17.5% last July is at 23.6% in the month under review.
Compared to the corresponding month in the year 2019, passenger numbers are 56.7% lower in the reporting month.

Air traffic movements

In July, air traffic movements increased by 54.7% to 15,283 versus previous year. Compared to July 2019, air traffic movements decreased by 40.7%.

Traffic ratios

The average seat load factor saw an increase of 5.8 percentage points to 68.1% and the average passenger per movement figure increased to 116.6 (104.8 previous year).

Commercial Activities 

Total turnover in July was CHF 34.6m.
