VIP Lounge –at Zurich Airport

Following its refurbishment, the VIP Service at Zurich Airport has become a premium service designed to appeal to travellers with exceptionally high demands for comfort, privacy and time management.

The primary aim is to provide support for passengers with the various VIP processes as well as the lounge offering and expanded range of Services. The previous infrastructure of the VIP lounge was over 25 years old and no longer met the space requirements of a modern VIP service – in terms of fit-out standard or size (165 m2).

The available area of around 900 m2 (gross) on Terminal 1's level G0 provides space for a reception area, lounge and bistro, quiet zone, smoking lounge, meeting room and workstations, as well as showers and toilets, a kitchen and back office.

The constraints imposed by the building (in terms of room height, natural light and views) were compensated for by a high-quality range of services, interior and lighting design, plus an enhanced room climate and improvements to the adjacent external spaces.

Additional space of around 300 m2 was required for the ventilation, air-conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems of the new infrastructure.

The refurbished lounge offers a pleasant atmosphere for passengers in which they can enjoy the amenities of the VIP service and privacy.
