What we offer as a training company
Our production machinists specialise in metal components, which they assemble into equipment, apparatus and machines. The Energy Supply section of Flughafen Zürich AG operates a modern combined heat and power plant that supplies the airport with heat and electricity. High availability and ecological compatibility are prioritised. Apprentice production machinists are specifically trained in the inspection, maintenance and installation of our many gate systems with large hangar doors, as well as on various mechanical heat supply systems.

Vocational apprenticeship
Basic training lasts three years, during which you spend one day a week at the technical college in Bülach. Practical work and classroom tuition are complemented by inter-company courses. If your academic performance is good enough you can attend vocational college during your basic training.
Professional requirements
- Completed primary and secondary school, middle and upper levels
- Interest in mechanics, hydraulics and locksmith work
- Good concentration and endurance
- Quick on the uptake, good analytical skills
- Logical thinking, imagination
- Friendly, customer-oriented
- Good knowledge of German, PC skills
