Captain Tom, a real pilot, explains live and on-site to children (and their accompanying adults) in a playful and child-friendly way how an aeroplane stays in the air, why turbulence is perfectly normal and why flying is so safe today – taking even the youngest passengers' fear of flying away in the process.

Flying without Fear – Children’s book introduced by Captain Tom

How does an aircraft actually stay airborne? Why is turbulence completely normal—and why is flying safer today than ever before?
Children (and their accompanying adults) will get the answers live on site from Captain Tom, a real airline pilot who explains the principles of flight in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way—helping even the youngest passengers overcome their fear of flying.

Meet Captain Tom

Tom Schneider has been flying for 25 years and currently serves as a Captain and Instructor on the Airbus A320 and A350.
As a coach for fear-of-flying seminars and the children’s book author, he inspires confidence, shares knowledge, and sparks a passion for aviation—even among the youngest future flyers.
The next fear-of-flying seminar for children will take place on June 28, 2026.
