Flughafen Zürich AG and its airport partners offered a varied program of festivities covering the fascinating world of aviation, culture and culinary delights in the Tango and Circle and Park event areas. For the first time, the noise protection hangar was opened to the public. Around 40 exhibitors presented equipment, products, services and professional worlds at Zurich Airport and provided insights behind the scenes of airport operations. The Patrouille Suisse air shows with Helvetic Airways on Friday and Sunday afternoons, as well as the live shows on aircraft handling, met with particular interest. The concerts and dance performances in the Circle and Park and the various program items for children were also well attended. More than 30 food trucks offered a wide range of culinary delights. 
As part of the official opening ceremony at the Tango stand on Friday evening, the President of the Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset, and Government Councillor of the Canton of Zurich, Carmen Walker Späh, congratulated Zurich Airport and emphasized its importance for Switzerland in the past, today and in the future. 

Positive conclusion 
The organizing team draws a positive conclusion on Sunday evening. Thanks to the commitment of numerous helpers and the good cooperation of all airport partners, the construction work and preparations went off without any major incidents. Immediately after the Patrouille Suisse air show on Sunday afternoon, there was an increase in the number of visitors at the entrance and exit to the Tango event area. The exit at the festival grounds was organized in phases, so that the bus station and the train platforms would not overflow. The situation quickly eased and the airport festival ended as planned. Due to the increased number of visitors, delays occurred for visitors travelling home after the airport festival.

Airport exhibition at Airport Shopping 
The motto of the anniversary year at the airport is "Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow: in motion with you" and is also the subject of the interactive multimedia airport exhibition, which can be visited publicly and free of charge at Airport Shopping until September 8.
