Highest passenger numbers since outbreak of pandemic

Over the Easter and spring vacations, Zurich Airport recorded daily highs in passenger numbers last seen in March 2020. The State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) also lifted travel restrictions for third-country nationals as of 2 May. As a result, no more pandemic-related restrictions on travel to Switzerland are in place. Anyone entering Switzerland no longer has to present a proof of vaccination, recovery or negative tests. For travel abroad, however, it remains important to be informed about possible restrictions at the destination before travelling, as these can still differ abroad.
