Winter timetable 2023: New direct service from Zurich to Colombia

Summary

The winter timetable 2023/24 includes a total of 167 destinations served from Zurich by 50 airlines. Edelweiss will offer new long-haul destinations. The two weekly flights to Bogotá and Cartagena (Colombia) are an important addition to the destination portfolio from Zurich. Moreover, certain routes will see more frequent flights in the winter timetable.

From 22 November, Edelweiss will offer a new non-stop service on Wednesdays and Sundays to Bogotá, continuing on to Cartagena and non-stop to Zurich. Colombia, which is growing in popularity, will thus be more closely linked with Switzerland. The new direct service offers both the growing leisure market as well as business travellers a convenient, direct travel opportunity.
From February until the end of March, Ivalo and Kuusamo in Finland will be served by Edelweiss in the winter timetable.

Various frequency increases

After a four-year break, SWISS will resume four weekly flights to Bremen. There will also be more frequent flights to Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Hanover. A particular focus is on the Portuguese cities of Lisbon and Porto, served several times a week by easyJet and TAP. Compared with last year’s winter timetable 22/23, the offering to Bucharest and Prague will also be expanded. Likewise, Amsterdam (KLM), Oslo (SWISS and SAS) and Rome (ITA) will see more frequent flights compared with last year’s winter timetable.
SWISS will also expand its long-haul offering and increase the frequency of flights to Shanghai (from 3 to 6 per week), Singapore (from 6 to 7 per week) and Cairo (from 4 to 7 per week) in the winter timetable. In the summer timetable the home carrier offered a daily flight to Miami. In the winter timetable it will offer two daily flights and is thus back to the pre-pandemic level on this route.

New European holiday and leisure destinations

Air Malta is increasing its service from seven to nine flights per week to Malta, and Croatia Airlines is increasing the frequency of flights to Pula and Split with a service on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the winter timetable. For the first time, Cyprus Airways will offer a service between Larnaca and Zurich with two flights per week in the winter season.
easyJet will offer a flight to London Stansted from mid-December with flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Chair Airlines will resume flights to Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.

BeOnd: the new premium leisure airline from Zurich

Starting on 17 November, the newly established airline BeOnd will offer flights from Zurich to Malé (Maldives). With 44 seats in an A319, BeOnd will depart for the Indian Ocean with a stopover in Dubai.
The winter timetable 23/24 will run from 29 October until 30 March. The chart shows the development of destinations, airlines and countries served from Zurich Airport in the winter timetable.
