All tasks required to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality flight operations come together in this division. These include all passenger services in the departure, arrival and transfer areas, the coordination of stand allocation and aircraft movements on the aprons, as well as safety and security. Smooth operations are ensured by involving all partners in a central steering body – the Airport Steering Committee.

In addition, the division is responsible for all freight-related activities and, together with Aviation Development & Statistics, serves as the interface to customers and airlines.
The Aviation division is also responsible for the operation, planning, supply, disposal and maintenance of all civil engineering facilities across the 800-hectare airport site. Furthermore, it ensures demand-oriented development of aviation infrastructure and procedural processes and manages all aspects of noise management and community protection.

The Commercial division is responsible for managing the commercial centers, landside traffic and marketing. It creates an attractive shopping, dining and service experience both airside and landside and operates one of Switzerland’s most successful shopping centers, as well as the business hub The Circle.
Other responsibilities include overall management of landside access via all modes of transport, as well as parking and mobility services. This division also oversees the airport’s digital presence and manages all marketing activities.

The Real Estate division is responsible for the development, construction, and commercial, technical and infrastructural management of all buildings and related facilities at Zurich Airport. The portfolio includes terminal buildings, office centers, logistics and hangar facilities, as well as the project The Circle.

In addition to building technology, the facilities under its management include the energy and heating supply, the baggage handling system, passenger boarding bridges, and the Skymetro linking Dock E.

The Finance & Services division handles business administration and cross-divisional functions. The Controlling department ensures financial transparency and provides the basis for the company’s financial management, while Financial Services is responsible for reporting, liquidity management and Group financing. High-quality financial communication is ensured by Investor Relations.

Also part of Finance & Services is Supply Management, which is responsible for central procurement and purchasing processes. The Information & Communication Technology (ICT) department is in charge of planning, developing and operating modern IT solutions for information and data processing for Zurich Airport Ltd. and its airport partners.

The International division focuses on expanding international business and managing Zurich Airport Ltd.’s airports and subsidiaries abroad. Its responsibilities include analysing airport concessions, airport privatizations and direct acquisition opportunities, as well as developing and managing airport operation projects.

The division also advises and supports strategic investors in the development and operation of airports, and provides assistance and knowledge transfer to Zurich Airport’s international airports and subsidiaries.

The company’s strategic staff functions are grouped within the People & Communications division. People & Culture is responsible for modern human resources management and the ongoing development of corporate and leadership culture.

The Sustainability & Public Affairs department acts as the central coordination unit for sustainability, political affairs and relations with political stakeholders. Corporate Communications is responsible for internal and external communications.

This area also encompasses the airport as a leisure and visitor destination.
