Zurich Airport awarded for best airport website in Europe
As part of the World Travel Tech Awards, Zurich Airport was awarded for the best airport website in Europe for the second time in a row. The website convinced with its information content as well as with helpful tools for passengers.
The World Travel Tech Award in the category "Best Airport Website in Europe" has been given away since 2022. Last year already, Zurich Airport's website, which was launched in 2020, was able to convince both industry experts and users. Also nominated this year were Munich Airport, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, and London Heathrow Airport.
Tools for relaxed traveling
In addition to comprehensive information, the website also offers travelers various tools to support them during their stay at Zurich Airport and in their travel preparations. The focus lies on the personalization of the customer experience and the information relevant to it.
A key element of personalization is the provided flight information. Passengers can search for their flights and have the option of activating flight updates to receive automatic push messages via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. Most recently, another feature was added to the service this summer: by indicating whether you already have a boarding pass and whether you are traveling with carry-on luggage only, a recommended arrival time at Zurich Airport is displayed.
The interactive map helps passengers find their way around Zurich Airport. Travelers can use the search function to find a café or the departure gate and have the route displayed.
Another helpful tool for travel preparation is the "What's in your luggage" overview. Passengers can find information on countless items, such as whether they can be carried in carry-on or checked baggage, and what to note about bringing those items or whether they are prohibited.
